Deputy Mayor James Smith today with Rochester Fire Chief Will Jackson at the City Hall declares October 6th -12th as “Fire Prevention Week,”

Deputy Mayor James Smith said thanks to all males and females of the Rochester Fire Department for their services.

“It takes a hero to run toward the danger. While others run away, and every member of the Rochester fire department is indeed a hero. The fire department is a city agency you hope you’ll never need, but one you are always happy that is there if you do and 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Our firefighter’s command team and support staff are always on duty, protecting our families, businesses, and property. For that on behalf of the citizens of Rochester, I want to offer my sincere gratitude to our fire department,” said Deputy Mayor James Smith.
